Point of French law, worth quoting: from 1 November to 31 March, in the communes listed by the préfet
(the State’s representative in the department), a vehicle must have four tyres marked 3PMSF or carry chains
or snow socks on board for at least two driven wheels. Since 1 November 2024, the « M+S» marking alone is no longer enough.

The last seventeen kilometres are a hairpin road — that is where a transfer is won or lost.

The largest ski area in the Alpes-Maritimes by kilometres of piste, and the only resort in the Tinée to publish its road route down to the motorway exit number.

Route: A8 exit 52 → D 6202 → gorges du Cians, gorges de Daluis or col de la Couillole. 86 km from Nice Airport — source: the resort. The oldest resort on the French Riviera, founded in 1936 — and the only one to claim three different routes from Nice. That is not a tourist argument: it is what saves it when the gorges du Cians close.

You climb by the col de Turini road, which the regional tourist board ranks among the ten most beautiful roads in the world.

Its car park takes 2,10 metre — and its avenue closes on race weekends.

Car park: Parking Port Lympia, quai Lunel, height 2,10 m. Since 30 April 2025 this is where Nice holds its conventions — on the port, in place of Acropolis. The district is largely pedestrian: the drop-off address matters more here than elsewhere.
