Partner chauffeurs and fleets

Journeys, a clear price, and payment on a fixed date.

Novalia has been on the road on the French Riviera since 2020 and entrusts transfers every day to partner chauffeurs across France and Europe. You keep your company, your vehicles and your freedom: we bring the demand, the framework and the payment.

Rides booked in advance, a complete job sheet

Every ride comes with everything you need to do it well: the exact addresses, the time, the passenger’s name, the tracked flight number and the purchase price — before you accept.

  • The purchase price is written on the ride. You accept with full knowledge, never blind.
  • The flight is tracked for you: if the plane is late, the pick-up time moves, not you.
  • The passenger’s name, the name board and the meeting instructions are there before the ride, not during it.
  • Transfers booked in advance, not three-kilometre rides at the last minute.

The requirements

What French law requires of a private hire driver

We would rather set it out in black and white: working with Novalia means being fully compliant. Here is what French regulations provide — the source texts are cited, and you can check them.

For the driver

  • A valid professional private hire licence issued by the préfecture, valid for 5 years and renewable after 14 hours of continuing training.
  • A category B driving licence held for at least 3 years (2 years with supervised learning), medical fitness confirmed by an approved doctor, and a compatible bulletin n° 2 of the criminal record.
  • Since 12 August 2026, the T3P professional examination has been the only route to the licence: the equivalence by experience no longer exists.

For the business

  • Entry in the register of private hire operators (REVTC), compulsory before trading, online only, valid for 5 years.
  • Professional liability insurance covering the carriage of passengers for hire and reward.
  • Financial standing of €1,500 per vehicle, except for a vehicle owned outright or on a long-term lease.
  • A VTC sticker displayed on the windscreen, compulsory prior booking, and no plying for hire.

For the vehicle

  • Less than 7 years old (since 6 December 2023; previously 6 years), at least 4 doors, at least 4,50 m long and 1,70 m wide, and at least 84 kW.
  • Hybrid and electric vehicles are exempt from the age, power and dimension requirements.
  • 9 seats maximum including the driver: a van sold as an “8 passenger seats” model sits at the exact limit of the private hire regime.

Where we are looking

The areas where the network is being built

We operate directly on the French Riviera. Elsewhere, we work with partner chauffeurs and fleets: those are the areas we are strengthening first.

The vehicle ranges

What we sell, what you drive

A vehicle that matches the range advertised: that is the promise made to the client, and the only thing we insist on out on the road.

Do I have to pay to join Novalia?

No. No registration fee, no subscription, no hidden commission: we buy the journey from you at a price you know before you accept it.

How are journeys paid?

The purchase price is shown before you accept. Payment is made on the fixed date agreed when the account is opened, against an invoice, with a breakdown journey by journey.

Do I have to accept every journey?

No. You accept what suits you. But a journey accepted is a journey owed: that is the network’s one strict rule, because a client is waiting at the other end.

What documents will I have to provide?

Once we are in contact: professional private hire licence, entry in the register of private hire operators (REVTC), insurance certificate for the carriage of passengers for hire and reward, current vehicle registration document and roadworthiness certificate, bank details and Kbis or SIRENE status statement. Nothing is asked for before that.

Do you work with fleets?

Yes, and outside the French Riviera it is our model: a partner fleet receives the journeys in its region and dispatches them to its own chauffeurs, with its own vehicles.

Do I need a van or a premium Sedan?

Not necessarily. We sell four ranges, from Economy to the eight-seat van: what matters is that the vehicle matches the range advertised and complies with private hire regulations.

Can I keep my other clients?

Of course. You remain an independent business: Novalia brings the work, it is not an employer, and it asks for no exclusivity.
