The drop-off point

Where your chauffeur waits for you

For anyone who does not know it, this is the most disconcerting station on the French Riviera: the drop-off zone is on level 2, reached from the expressway that runs ABOVE the station. It can be entered from either direction of traffic. A chauffeur arriving along rue Jean-Jaurès, at ground level, is not there.

The first fifteen minutes there are free, after which parking is charged in blocks. It is a drop-off zone, not a place to sit and wait: if your train is late, your chauffeur circles or parks further off, and lets you know.

The covered part of the station car park has a height limit. For a First Class Van or a Standard Van, drop-off is in the open air — name the van when you book and the chauffeur plans an approach that clears.

During the film festival, MIPIM or Cannes Lions, traffic around the station and the Croisette is filtered. Give us your hotel: the drop-off point is chosen to fit the traffic plan in force that week.

Worth knowing

Where exactly does the chauffeur meet me at Cannes station?

For anyone who does not know it, this is the most disconcerting station on the French Riviera: the drop-off zone is on level 2, reached from the expressway that runs ABOVE the station. It can be entered from either direction of traffic. A chauffeur arriving along rue Jean-Jaurès, at ground level, is not there. Your meeting point is confirmed to you before you arrive.

What if my train is late?

Give us the train number when you book: we follow its real running time and the pick-up time follows with it, at no extra charge. A station is no place to sit waiting in a car — which is why the chauffeur moves into position at the right moment.

Which trains stop at Cannes station?

TGV inOui, Ouigo, TER Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. This list follows what the official SNCF pages show; services change from one annual timetable to the next, so check your own journey with the operator.

Can I book the other way round, to the station?

Yes. A transfer to Cannes station books in exactly the same way, nights and weekends included, with no time-of-day surcharge. Allow yourself a margin on the pick-up time: the price does not change, the road does.
