Anything written about this station before April 2024 is out of date: the transport interchange opened that month, after two years of works. Road access from the avenue de la Gare, closed during construction, has reopened.
The drop-off zone is in the underground car park built beneath place de la Gare, which also holds spaces reserved for TER passengers and charging points for electric vehicles. The renovated forecourt takes taxis, bicycles and accessible bus stops.
The station stands above the town centre: between it and the seafront there is a slope and suitcases to carry. That is precisely what the car spares you, and why being set down at the exact address beats a stop “near the station”.
