The drop-off zone is on the west side of the station, on avenue Thiers. It came under access control during the 2024 works: your chauffeur takes a ticket, loads you in and drives straight out — the first fifteen minutes are free, which is ample.
Two car parks carry almost the same name on the same avenue, and they do not have the same height limit. With a van, that is worth preparing: the chauffeur picks the one that clears, or waits at the drop-off zone rather than underground.
If you would rather not cross the concourse with your suitcases, ask for the drop-off on the avenue Jean-Médecin side: the station is a step from the shopping street and a car can pull up there more calmly.

Worth knowing
The line 1 tram stop “Gare Thiers” is about 200 metres away. The station was built away from the old centre; the city then grew around it.
