The port of Nice takes ships alongside — that is, directly against the quay, with no tender. You walk down the gangway at the arrival time announced by the cruise line. It is by far the most comfortable case, and the easiest to synchronise with a chauffeur.
The port authority recommends entering through the east gate, known as “Deux Emmanuel”: the west gate is flagged as more difficult. Your chauffeur therefore comes in from the east, and meets you as close as possible to your quay.
The port has several quays — Papacino, Lunel, Infernet, Entrecasteaux, Riboty, de la Douane, du Commerce, Île-de-Beauté, Napoléon Iᵉʳ — and a ship’s quay allocation is not published in advance. Give us the name of your ship: that is what makes it possible to find the right quay on the day.

More than a hundred calls a year. The port has been run by the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur within the Ports d’Azur network since 1 January 2017. The “Port Lympia” stop on tram line 2 is inside the port area.
